Mother Dreams Up Idea to Teach Teenage Daughter a Lesson About Online Dating—It Is Truly Terrifying

Parents often are willing to go to extreme circumstances to teach their children a lesson, but this next bit may have gone a little too far.
YouTube prankster Patty Mayo teamed up with a friend, who had informed him that her eighteen-year-old daughter was using the dating app Tinder.
Mayo created a fake account, eventually managed to connect with the young woman, and then asked her out on a date. His intention was to show her how dangerous it can be to meet up with a stranger from the internet.
This was his plan:
“So we’ve been talking now off and on for two weeks. She told me she’s having cheer practice at school. After that, we’re meeting at Starbucks.”
“Surprise, I’m going to pull up in this van and abduct her.”
They did exactly that.
After she probably had a near heart attack from terror, the ‘pranksters’ gave her a phone, which has the teen’s mother on the line.
One would assume the teen didn’t break out into good-humored laughter, saying, “You got me, guys!” after it was all over.

Do you think this is an appropriate way to teach your daughter a lesson?
Yes, parents should do whatever it takes to teach their daughters to be careful.
No! It's not okay to terrorize your daughter. There are other ways to teach children about safety, and this could have caused more harm than good.
